Many parents wonder if or how they should get their child to participate in chores and housework. How do we allow kids to enjoy the carefree moments of childhood while also instilling responsibility? What’s the best way to support kids’ autonomy, while also helping them learn to contribute to their family in meaningful ways?

Like with all things in parenting, we have to strike a balance. In this workshop we will present what the research shows about raising responsible and capable kids along with concreate strategies you can use in your own home right away. We won’t be presenting a rigid chore plan, but rather a set of tools you can use and tweak to meet your family’s individual needs.
